Intercom Installation in Nairobi CBD

Video door phones, apartment and gate intercoms that let you see and speak to visitors before you open, installed and set up by one team.

Visitors ringing the wrong office, couriers left waiting in the lobby and a reception desk that cannot see who is at the door: in multi-storey buildings downtown, the entrance is often the weakest point in both service and security.

Our intercom installation in Nairobi CBD covers single offices, clinics and whole buildings. For one tenant, a video door station at the office entrance lets staff see and talk to visitors before releasing the door lock. For a whole building, a multi-button or directory panel at the main entrance connects to each office, with the front door released remotely.

Nerpax checks the cable routes through risers and ceilings, which are often congested in older buildings, and recommends wired or IP systems accordingly. We supply, install and test each station and the door release, then show your staff how to use it.

Serving Nairobi CBD

The Nairobi CBD is a dense grid of offices, banks, shops, hotels and older commercial buildings around Kenyatta Avenue, Moi Avenue and Tom Mboya Street. Many buildings carry decades of extensions and patch-up wiring, so rewiring, new distribution boards and fault finding are frequent jobs. Shop owners want CCTV that records clearly through busy hours and can be viewed remotely, while offices need access control on lifts and doors, plus UPS backup for servers and tills. Nerpax Systems supplies, installs and delivers equipment for buildings across the city centre.

Intercom Installation in Nairobi CBD: FAQs

Can an intercom open the door automatically for a visitor?
Yes, if the door has an electric lock or magnetic lock connected to the system. When staff press the release button on their monitor or handset, the lock opens for a few seconds. We can fit the lock as part of the job and add an exit button and emergency release on the inside.
Will a video intercom work in an old building with thick walls?
Wired systems are not affected by walls, so they are usually the right choice in older buildings. The challenge is finding a cable route. We look at existing risers, trunking and ceiling voids during the survey and plan the neatest route that the building management will accept.
